A 50% deposit of selected wedding package fee is due within 1 day of signing contract. All deposits are non-refundable for any circumstance. This includes but is not limited to: rain, weather, temperature, etc. Any cancellations within 80 days or less from the event date will result in client being responsible for the entire rental fee. Full property rental fee along with any additional fees due to Canaan Valley Farm for wedding usage is due within 60 days of event. Failure to pay full balance by this date will result in loss of venue. Fines of any incurred damage of the property or contractual disobedience and non-compliance, shall be paid after the event has taken place at a date no later than 7 days post event.
Cancellation Policy *
If you cancel your event 60 days or more prior to your reserved date, your payment will be returned minus the 50% deposit fee. If you cancel less than 60 days away from your event, none of your payment will be refunded. To cancel your event Canaan Valley Farm must have cancellation requesting in writing before the event can be officially cancelled. (Email is acceptable).
Tables, chairs, tents, and décor are not provided with any rental package outside of seating on the Pond Porch, furniture in the Mane House, outdoor furniture on the patio, and decor in our decor closet available for client use. Lessee shall be responsible for providing any additional lighting other than what is currently in place. All rentals must be picked up after conclusion of event. Any rentals or décor left on property will result in a removal fee of $100.
Beer, wine and champagne are permitted at Canaan Valley Farm. No hard liquor is allowed to be served at any time. At any time, if the catering staff, bartender, or a member of Canaan Valley Farm staff deems alcohol consumption to be excessive, the staff has the authority to shut down all alcohol service and/or evict inebriated guests from the premises.
