After raising our family in the Mane House and having a couple kids leave the nest, we found ourselves with too much house…
We started renting the house and it seemed like every other guest asked us if someone could get married on the property.
After a season or two we realized there was a need for an intimate, non traditional, outdoor destination Wedding Venue and our property was the perfect place.
In 2019 we bought the adjoining property and built a breathtaking ceremony site amongst the towering trees along with a 1920’s themed Speakeasy reception area. Then we constructed a winding boardwalk through the woods and a tranquil outdoor courtyard covered in cafe lights to connect it all.
We now have 4 stunning Vacation Rental houses on 55 acres that can be rented separately or together and an onsite Venue that can be added to the mix for the perfect multi night Wedding celebration.
We branded our property Canaan Valley after our youngest son and the rest is history.
The property is the star at Canaan Valley. There is an unmistakable tranquility here that you can feel in your soul. Mix in a family of owners that genuinely care about the experience of their guests and you will start to understand what makes what we do here so special. Come see for yourself!
We have added more experiences for our guests to enjoy Canaan Valley, such as mornings at the barn with our horses, private yoga sessions, farm to table dinners, artisan workshops, therapeutic massages, horse riding lessons, and over 10+ hiking trails throughout the property.
What makes us a one-of-a-kind estate is our location. Being 15 minutes from downtown allows our guests the freedom to tour Asheville's artistic and historical scenes or journey to explore the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Our oldest daughter Belle is our house Wedding Planner. She began her wedding industry journey in 2015 and was planning her first wedding by 2017. Belle has helped over 40 couples plan their dream weddings with local venues, including destination weddings. We are so proud of our daughter and the mark she has made as a Wedding Planning industry professional.

Across from our 60 x 40 outdoor wedding platform, featuring 100-year-old trees and breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountain views, is our newly renovated 4000 square-foot wedding event reception area to host all gatherings such as wedding parties, farm-to-table dinners, educational workshops, corporate, and social events.
We like to establish a lifetime rooted connections with our wedding clients and our Asheville Vendors. We love learning about our wedding parties to help fulfill their Asheville wedding venue dream. We also love to connect our wedding parties to the Best Asheville Wedding Photographers, Videographers, and Vendors.
